Women’s Fund Of Vanderburgh County Announces Impact Grant Finalists

The Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County has announced the six finalist organizations to be considered for their 2020 Impact Grant awards.   

The Women’s Fund was established in 2007 when a group of area women came together with the goal of improving the quality of life in Vanderburgh County by pooling their resources to forever provide funding for charitable initiatives.

Decisions on this year’s grants will be announced at the Women’s Fund Annual Meeting on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Members will select two organizations to receive $25,000 grants, with the remaining four organizations receiving $10,000 grants.

This year’s finalists and their proposals are:

  • 4C of Southern Indiana for Building Resilience in Families,
  • EVSC Foundation, Inc. for Let’s clothe Evansville,
  • Holly’s House, Inc. for “Think First & Stay Safe” Sexual Abuse Child Prevention Program,
  • The House of Bread and Peace, Inc. for Direct Care/ Office Staff,
  • United Caring Services for “Clean And Caring” Improvement Project, and

Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office for Vanderburgh County Crime Victim Emergency Assistance.

Since 2007, the Women’s Fund has awarded grants totaling $991,000 to organizations serving local families. Past Impact Grants have provided funding for projects and programs at the Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Ark Crisis Child Care Center, Aurora, Boys and Girls Club, Evansville Christian Life Center, House of Bread and Peace, Lampion Center, Ozanam Family Shelter, Patchwork Central, Potter’s Wheel, St. Vincent Early Learning Center, United Caring Shelter, Vanderburgh County CASA, Youth First, Youth Resources of Southwestern Indiana, and the YWCA.

The Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County is a fund of the Vanderburgh Community Foundation. The Women’s Fund focuses the efforts of women philanthropists to create positive social change by funding projects that address current needs in our community.
