“The Chamber offers my business support through the connections, resources, and marketing it does on my behalf. I have made came connections through my involvement as an ambassador which came through the resources the Chamber offers.
The advocacy on behalf of businesses, the alliances offered to support one another, and a coalition of like-minded groups are all there as resources to my business. When you walk into a LARGE church, company, room, etc. it can be overwhelming or feel like you are small but it is IN that small area that you find a fit and connect, then you are not so small anymore. You have now connected with a few others and the large room is not so intimidating now. The room is now filled with support, connections, and resources.
The marketing offered by the Chamber, I feel is an extension of the resources they offer. If you have a new employee, milestone, expansion, or anything you want to share about your business…the team at the Chamber will make sure to put it on their website, social media, newsletters, and any other marketing resource they have. If there is an event getting visibility, as a member, you can sponsor and get your business name exposed.
The Chamber is your partner. If you don’t utilize your partnership then you are just cutting a check to help with the advocacy that they do, which is fine. However if you truly want to know the membership benefits (what am I getting out of this check I cut to the Chamber), then work with them. The Chamber will always advocate on your behalf and be your lamb or you can utilize more of the benefits and let them be the LION! Businesses are always looking for that rock star LION.”
