Indiana Legislative Update Bill Filing Continues

The main activity in the Statehouse this past week was the continued introduction of bills. Friday, January 11, was the last day for legislators to file bills, but it will be well into next week – and perhaps even the following week for some – before all the bills get a first reading across the desk and assigned to Committee. It’s at that point that they become visible to the public and to anyone else that the legislator hasn’t chosen to already share the bill with. There are still hundreds of bills to be released and reviewed over the next 2 weeks.
