Hafer receives Outstanding Project Award and National Recognition for the McCutchanville Elementary School

Hafer (Evansville, IN) has received an OUTSTANDING PROJECT AWARD in educational facility design for the McCutchanville Elementary School (Evansville, IN) in the spring 2019 edition of LEARNING BY DESIGN, the premier source for education design innovation and excellence. The McCutchanville Elementary School has been recognized by Learning By Design magazine for its architectural and interior design and for having next generation benchmark type design and planning features worthy of emulation.
LEARNING BY DESIGN’s distinguished spring 2019 jury of five architects and end-user’s applauded Hafer for its accomplishment in designing the McCutchanville Elementary School. All projects included in this edition are peer-reviewed. The jury discusses and looks for in each project unique and or new concepts being implemented to improve education facility building design. Educational facilities such as the McCutchanville Elementary School are scored on six core design criteria, including: Innovation, Meeting the Community’s Needs, Interior Design, Sustainability, Functional Design, and 21st Century Learning. The Jury comments about this project included: Spaces are bright and modern. Furnishings are age appropriate. Public use spaces can be secured separately from classrooms. Teaching Theater is a unique space which provides flexible/multipurpose learning space at a larger scale.
