Hafer is proud to announce its 40th anniversary. A lot has changed since the company began, but one thing that hasn’t is their commitment to designing spaces that inspire – one of the reasons why they’ve become a leading architectural, engineering and design firm within the region.
Hafer’s beginning dates back to 1978 when Ed Hafer founded the business and was joined by fellow architect Steve Pugh. From there, the two-man architectural firm has organically grown the last four decades to include nearly 50 employees across its multiple disciplines. While Hafer started out solely as an architectural firm, it has grown to include engineering, interior design, and landscape architecture as well. The addition of these skilled team members and services has allowed Hafer to better serve their clients and offer holistic approaches to multiple project types.
Hafer’s President, Jeff Justice, states “The success of our firm can be attributed to the hard work by our talented team and also to our clients – those that have put their trust in us to help them achieve their dreams and goals. “
The growth has allowed Hafer to be a part of many of the region’s most influential projects – from the Evansville airport to Vectren Headquarters, Deaconess Gateway Hospital and major projects on the University of Southern Indiana and University of Evansville’s campus, just to name a few. The designers at Hafer have developed specialized expertise in their core markets, providing beneficial knowledge to their client’s projects.
As they celebrate the company’s past this year, they are also planning a bright future. “We look forward to expanding our horizons over the next 40 years, honing our skills and helping our clients succeed. We also vow to never lose our focus on providing excellent design solutions, an enjoyable workplace for our employees and serving as trusted advisors to our clients and friends.”
