Final EVPL CEO-Director candidates announced

The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Search Committee has announced the three finalists for the library’s CEO-Director position.

Scott Kinney is currently the Director of the Mobile Public Library located in Mobile, Ala. Prior to being named the Director of the Mobile Public Library, Scott Kinney was the Director of the Sweetwater County Library System in Green River, Wyo.

Lynette Schurdevin is the Library Director of Rio Rancho Public Libraries in Rio Rancho, N.M. Before that, she was the Library Administrator of the Thomas Breanigan Memorial Library in Las Cruces, N.M.

Rebecca Wolf is the Library Director of Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District in Northfiled, Ill. She was previously the Assistant Library director at Deerfield Public Library in Deerfield, Ill.

The community is invited to public presentations by the final three CEO-Director candidates on Wednesday, November 6 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the Browning Rooms of EVPL Central.

A national search for EVPL’s new CEO-Director began in July 2019. The search is being conducted by the Search Committee of the EVPL Board of Trustees and Bradbury Miller Associates, library consultants specializing in executive searches.

The EVPL Board anticipates a new CEO-Director will be named by the end of November.
