Voters can cast their ballots early at five Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library locations from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29.
Though Early Voting will take place in the meeting rooms of EVPL Central, EVPL McCollough, EVPL North Park, EVPL Oaklyn, and EVPL Red Bank, all library locations will remain unopen for regular services. As previously stated, EVPL Administration in collaboration with the EVPL Board of Trustees, have a phased plan to resume services in stages. A reopening date has not been set.
EVPL and the Vanderburgh County Election Office encourage voters to practice health and safety measures, including exercising social distancing practices while in line and when in the polling room, as well as wearing of cloth face coverings at all times.
“EVPL is pleased to have once again partnered with the Vanderburgh County Election Office to offer early voting at five of our library locations,” said EVPL CEO-Director Scott Kinney. “We recognize the importance voter participation can have on an election and are proud to be providing our community with a welcoming and safe environment to cast their ballot.”
Voting will take place Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Friday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at EVPL Central, EVPL North Park, EVPL McCollough, EVPL Oaklyn, and EVPL Red Bank.
