TEDxEvansville speakers prepare to take the stage for Nov. 8 event, “Change”

TEDxEvansville speakers are putting the finishing touches on their talks as they prepare to take the stage for next week’s live TEDxEvansville 2019 event, “Change.” The locally organized event – now in its fifth year – will be held at Shanklin Theatre on the University of Evansville campus on Friday evening, November 8, 2019 from 6-9 pm with an opening reception at 5 pm. The event is presented by the Community Foundation Alliance.

Nine speakers will share their thoughts on such topics as mental illness in the workplace, breaking down communication barriers, engaging others in personal struggles, workplace culture, and even something at the heart of the event, public speaking. Together, these short talks aim to capture the amazing developments and excitement happening in our community; the necessity, triumphs, and struggles of personal growth; and the opportunity to create a better tomorrow.

“We cannot wait to share this year’s talks and stories with our community, “ said Heather McNabb, Executive Director of TEDxEvansville. “Change isn’t just coming; it’s here in the form of nine phenomenal speakers who will change your way of thinking, acting, and doing.”

The speakers, who will each be giving a talk ranging from 5 to 18 minutes long, include:
