Co-Founders of WALO Creative Speak at May AAF-GE Luncheon

The American Advertising Federation of Greater Evansville (AAF-GE) is hosting a luncheon discussion on creating authentic brand experiences at its May 17 luncheon. AAF-GE members and the public is invited to attend the luncheon at Tropicana Evansville Convention Center in the Las Vegas / Atlantic City room. Doors open at 11: 30 and the presentation and lunch begins at noon.

Walter Barraza and Lalo Durán, co-founders of WALK, will be presenting the lessons and experiences they’ve learned creating authentic brand experiences for their clients. They will be sharing simple and actionable tips that will help infuse advertising with authenticity and win over consumers.

Over the last ten years, Barraza has worked on brands like Fruit of the Loom, Comcast, Miller Lite, Samsung and Jarritos. Him and Lalo Durán opened the doors to their own agency, WALO, in 2014 and in 2015 WALO became the AOR for Jarritos. Since then, WALO and Jarritos have created a strong and fruitful partnership. Before opening the doors to WALO, Walter worked for renowned agencies such as The Richards Group, Dieste, Grupo Gallegos and Lopez Negrete Communications.

In his 12+ years in the business Durán has helped build brands such as AT&T, Southwest Airlines, The NY Lottery, McDonald’s, Miller Lite, Samsung and Jarritos. Before opening the doors to WALO with Walter Barraza, Lalo worked for Dieste, Inspire, Moroch and Lopez Negrete Communications.

Doors open at 11:30 am for networking with the presentation beginning at noon. Cost is $20 per person for non-members and AAF-GE members are free.
