With more than 508,000 companies employing 1.2 million Hoosiers, small businesses play an important role in maintaining Indiana’s long-term economic growth and supporting good jobs for Hoosiers.
From tools to launching their first venture to strategic planning designed for entrepreneurs running well-established businesses, the Indiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which is a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Indiana Economic Development Corporation, offers the expert guidance and services needed to assist small business owners through all stages of growth.
In recognition of their work to grow Indiana’s economy and enhance their communities, the Indiana SBDC launched the Small Business Impact Awards to honor small businesses who received counseling from the organization’s regional offices across the state. Along with its 10 regional awards, the Indiana SBDC will unveil four new awards at this year’s program, recognizing the contributions of clients who have had a significant economic or cultural impact in Indiana. The awards are presented in conjunction with the SBA’s National Small Business Week from May 5-11.
