ONB to host Inclusive Workforce Presentation

Old National to host Inclusive Workforce Presentation

Old National is pleased to offer a very special presentation by Randy Lewis, former Walgreens SVP and disability employment visionary, on Thursday, November 12 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (CST) in the Auditorium at Old National Place.

Lewis shares a personal and truly inspirational story (having a son with autism), which led him to re-create the way that Walgreens employs people with disabilities, creating an unprecedented inclusive workforce.

The presentation is open to non-profits, businesses and persons who share a common goal of a more inclusive workforce. Randy Lewis and Ben Trockman, Old National Outreach and Employment Specialist will be available for interviews immediately following the presentation.

About Randy Lewis
Randy Lewis is the Founder of the Nogwog Disability Initiative which assists businesses and communities in developing and launching disability hiring initiatives that result in a more inclusive and effective workforce for business, improve the well-being of the community and have positive impact for all those involved, with and without disabilities.

Lewis pioneered this model during his 16-year tenure as Walgreens chief supply chain officer where he served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics. As a result, over 10% of its logistics workforce is composed of people with disabilities who perform the same jobs, earn the same pay and are held to the same performance standards as fellow team members. The National Governors Association has referred to it as the “gold standard of disability employment” and it has been replicated in companies both domestically and abroad such as Procter & Gamble, UPS, Lowe’s, Meijer, Marks and Spencer.

He has been called “visionary of disability employment advocacy” and speaks throughout the U.S. and internationally on the lessons learned that apply to all leaders who seek to make a difference. His book, No Greatness without Goodness, was released in 2014 and was named by Fast Company as one of its Ten New Books You Need To Read This Year.
