The Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville and the Franklin Street Events Assoc. has launched the crowdfunding campaign for TED: Trolley of Evansville’s Districts. They now have 29 days to reach their fundraising goal of $25,000 to bring TED to life in Evansville! Giving levels start at low as $5 and every dollar they raise will be matched by the Indiana Housing Community Development Authority. Every dollar!
TED: Trolley of Evansville’s Districts will connect several up-and-coming Evansville neighborhoods, giving residents and visitors greater access to the shops, restaurants and galleries along Franklin Street, Downtown and in Haynie’s Corner Arts District. More than just a trolley, TED is a connectivity project that will create economic opportunity, improve the quality of life and spur business activity and job creation within the districts; one of the Growth Alliance’s strategic initiatives.
All donations are tax deductible as the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville is a Registered 501(c)(3), Tax ID 35-1798568.
As a reminder, the plan is much bigger than one trolley. Revenue from the first trolley will assist in purchasing a second and third trolley that will then connect North Main and the Universities! Imagine the impact of three trolleys moving residents, students and visitors into our community’s urban core.
