Tell me a little bit about your business.
We are a locally owned business that provides commercial and industrial, non-residential cleaning services. We do have carpet cleaning for residences, and the community has seemed to truly enjoy that! This month marks twenty years of being open for us, and our growth in the past two decades has been a dream come true. Starting this business when I was just eighteen years old, and seeing that we now have forty-five employees and fifteen contractors twenty years later, I could not be happier.

If you could give any career advice to your younger self, what would it be?
The advice I’d give to my younger self would be to really educate myself on the inner workings of business, management and all of the networking in between.

What has your biggest hurdle been so far?
The biggest hurdle has been learning to work with staff members in a way that works for both of us. As a business owner, I make it my mission to put myself in my staff’s shoes and always try to do what’s best for them. It’s difficult to keep a positive balance, but I have it figured out now.

What is something the community may not know about you?
I started this business when I was eighteen years old. I built it from the ground up; I started it from my mom and dad’s house. It’s really neat to see how much we’ve grown in twenty years.

What does innovation mean to you?
It means always learning how to make your company better, and product better and more affordable. Competition is everywhere, so staying ahead of the competition is very important.

What experience do you hope your customers take away?
I want our customers to feel comfortable and taken care of when working with us. The customers we have are more like family, and that family-feel creates a unique experience that our customers seem to really enjoy. Knowing they trust our experience, product and staff means the world to me.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
The networking aspect of my job is my favorite. The customers we have become life-long friends, and that’s so rewarding.
