Kim Howard

Kim has been leading the ISBDC team for more than 10 years and has an extensive network of resources to call upon. She collaborates broadly to help all our clients become successful in launching new businesses or improving the profitability of existing businesses.

Kim grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Butler University.  She received her Master’s from the University of Evansville and considers Southern Indiana her home. Kim has served on numerous boards and committees within the community and strives to improve the quality of life in the Evansville area. She is especially interested in improving early childhood education and is active with the 4C Board. Kim is married to Chris and they have a son, daughter and three cats.

Kim and her family enjoy traveling to New York and watching college sports.

Doug Claybourn

Doug enjoys helping ISBDC clients and has been doing so for over five years. He has a background in sports and news reporting, management and banking. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Indiana. His clients benefit from his diverse business experience.

He is active in Crossroads Christian Church, USI Varsity Club, Reitz R-Men’s Club, Helfrich Hills Men’s Club and is a past president of the USI Alumni Association.

Doug is a native of Evansville and is married to Christi. They have three children, six grandchildren and two cats.  Doug spends his spare time traveling and playing golf.

Julie Folz

Julie is our newest business advisor and works with clients to evaluate business ideas, develop marketing plans and create strong growth strategies. She has a background in Sales and Marketing and earned her degree from Purdue University.

She is an Evansville native and is active in the community with a specific passion for serving the less fortunate. She is on the Board of Ozanam Family Shelter and is a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Julie also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and is involved in Leadership Evansville.

Julie enjoys playing golf and pool in addition to traveling with her husband, George.  They have two grown daughters.

Karina Hampton

Karina provides administrative support and helps keep our entire staff organized and productive.  She also supports our clients with any questions they may have. She has a background in accounting and has been working at the ISBDC for more than four years.

Karina grew up in Bloomington and has a B. S. from Indiana University. She is active with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, Willard Library, Evansville Junior Golf Association and Westside Youth Basketball.

Karina stays busy with her four active children and is a life-long Cleveland Browns fan.

Grant Glackman

Grant is a recently retired Partner from BKD, LLP.  He was a tax partner in the firm for 28 years  and served as industry director for WealthPlan services for the East Region of BKD.  In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he was also a Certified Financial Planner and was involved in estate and succession planning for closely held businesses.  Prior to Olive, LLP’s merger with BKD, he was the partner responsible for business valuations.  He’s been a frequent guest speaker for various local and state organizations on tax and planning issues and also presented at several BKD national tax seminars.

Grant works part-time with the Southwest Indiana SBDC.
